Restaurant Experiences

I visited a restaurant in London when I was there for a weekend, and it stands out as one of my most memorable visits.

Obviously, when you go out for food, the priority is for the food to be amazing, which it was. But more than that, the customer service was great, the scenery was amazing and the whole environment was exactly what you want it to be.

The Setting

Picture this: It’s a warm evening in London. A casual stroll over Tower-Bridge and then down the steps to Butler’s Wharf. You walk past a row of restaurants, the aroma of food weaves around, and as you pass you peruse the menus. You find the one you want and that’s where you stop for food.

That was my experience. I sat out on the patio, with the blue beauty of Tower Bridge and the River Thames as my view.

Back to the Food

The food was seafood ravioli in a gorgeous bisque, with half a carafe of wine. It was delicious and a dish I would love to recreate but I don’t know how to. When the meal was eaten, I had coffee and a hazelnut chocolate torte for dessert.

It’s a meal I’ve yet to top, and a dining experience that cannot be improved upon.

In My Little Kitchen

When I’m in my peerie kitchen cooking pasta, it’s the taste I strive to reach. The experience that stays in my mind. It’s that kind of food that inspires me to cook.

My visit to Butler’s Wharf was repeated year after year and not once did it let me down. It’s been a while since I’ve been to London but it’s on my bucket list to visit every restaurant on Butler’s Wharf because I think it’s my favourite place in the world.

If you have a favourite dining experience, I’d love to hear about it, and if you like what you’ve read here, you can follow my social media accounts. I post pics of my cooking adventures on Instagram.
